Carpet Repair Course
One Day Training Course
Whether you want to add repair skills to your existing cleaning business or handle those on-the-job accidents with confidence — iron burns, curling tong damage, hot coal burns, moth damage and more — this hands-on day covers everything you need. Places are limited to 12, so booking early is recommended.
What you’ll learn:
- Managing expectations through pre-inspection
- Carpet construction, backings & fibre identification
- Carpet repair tools and their uses
- Cutouts (bonded inserts) on synthetic and wool carpets
- Carpet re-tufting repair
- Delamination repairs
- Multiple adhesion methods — cold & hot, including the Kool Glide
- Problem solving & sourcing donor carpet
- Marketing & pricing advice
- Manual supplied
Hands-on, practical training
Delegates will take part in re-tufting along with multiple ways to complete a bonded insert — from cold application to various hot melt processes. The course also covers refitting loose carpet and door bars, re-stretching, seam repairs, delamination issues, permanent section inserts and seaming joins.
Small groups, maximum learning
Attendance is limited to just 12 trainees per course, ensuring everyone gets genuine hands-on time with the equipment and plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Please wear work appropriate clothing — everything else is provided.
