Alltec are pleased to announce our next, and last, IICRC Upholstery & Fabric training school for 2019. Run by leading industry expert Paul Pearce. This two day course will take place on the Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st November 2019.
It’s not unusual for cleaning companies to turn down upholstery cleaning due to a lack of understanding of how to and what to look for. The idea of this course is to give you the confidence to tackle any fabric when asked. This is an advanced theory based training course for those looking to fully understand textiles and how to safely and effectively care for them. By completing this course you will very quickly become a fabric cleaning specialist and your business will be enhanced by this knowledge & training!
This Upholstery Fabric Technician course covers:
- Upholstery fibre categories
- Fibre identification and testing
- Manufacturing of the fibre & fabric
- Chemistry of cleaning
- Upholstery cleaning and protection methods
- Spotting and potential problems
This course is independent and covers generic products and equipment, so you will receive a broad range of instruction on all cleaning methods and equipment available across the industry. Paul has a true passion for the textile cleaning industry and for sharing his vast knowledge. He has been an independent cleaning operative and industry trainer for many years – there is little Paul does not know!
For those who are unfamiliar with IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning Restoration & Certification) the IICRC is a certification and standard-setting non-profit organisation for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industries. The IICRC promotes the highest level of training and certification in the industry. As a Certified Technician you will have proof that you are a fully trained operative, and that you are a paid member of a professional body, giving you an advantage over competitors and allowing you to promote yourself as a true professional.
The course is run over 2 days; a total of 14 hours training, not including exam time, lunch and breaks. The exam is optional (although you do have to take it and pass to receive the certification) at a cost of £50.00 paid direct to the IICRC. Upon passing your exam you will receive a Certificate and Technician badge in the post direct from the IICRC (please note this can take up to six weeks.) Every attendee will receive a Certificate of Attendance regardless of whether or not the exam has been taken.
Everything you needed is provided for the course, plus lunch and refreshments. If you have any dietary requirements we will be more than happy to cater for you.
